Tomorrow. Always tomorrow.

Back in September of last year, I had a great idea.  I was going to start blogging.  Then in November, we found out we are pregnant.  Cue the I'm-going-to-start-blogging-now-for-sure thoughts!  Then in January we decided to move forward, sell our house in Webster, and rebuild again in Farmington.  Surely with all that is happening in our lives, I would actually start this blog to document all of it.  8 months later, here is my first post!  I'm a procrastinator, I'll admit it.

So let's play catch up:

  • Yes, you heard me right, after 6 years of marriage and 9 years together, Chase and I are expecting our first baby.  We couldn't be more excited!
    • While the first trimester kicked my butt (with exhaustion like I have never experienced before, all day nausea, and insomnia, and found me home alone since Chase was travelling a lot for work) I happily welcomed the start of the second trimester back in January.  Not only was I sort of starting to show, just a little bit, but I felt like a million bucks!
    • On March 2nd, at 18 weeks, we found out that we are having a baby girl!  We did an awesome gender reveal photo shoot with Amanda Lee of Ten Feet Photo (yes, she shot our wedding back in 2008, and will be shooting our kids for years to come!).  It was super cold and windy out, but we had a ton of fun and were able to reveal to everyone on March 8th that there was going to be lots of pink in our futures!
    • Today I sit here 27w3d pregnant, getting kicked while Baby Girl does her late morning dances.  She's been super active lately and has even let her dad (FINALLY) feel her making moves back around week 22.  She'd been pretty stingy when it came to letting her dad feel her kicks.
  • So while we're pregnant and expecting a major lifestyle change, why not decide to sell our house in Webster, that we moved into less than a year ago and build a new house back out in Farmington?  I mean, if we're going to make life changes, we might as well make as many as possible all at once, right?
    • We had discussed for a few months, looking at multiple different floorplans that Ryan Homes offers.  I instantly fell in love with the Ravenna, which would be quite big for us, but with plenty of room to grow.  Unfortunately, we were not able to agree on a price with the builder, so we decided to build the Venice which is quite a bit like out old house in Farmington, just with about 400 extra square feet and a 4th bedroom.
    • Luckily our Webster house sold for exactly what we needed it to sell for, and it sold in about 2 14 days.  Which put us right on track to have the new house finished about the same time that Baby Girl will be making her arrival to the outside world, Late July - Early August.
    • This past weekend we moved into my mom's house (which is where we'll be all summer) and we close on the Webster house on Monday.

Here's hoping that I can keep my promise (to myself) to actually continue blogging throughout the rest of the process!
